UPC in Dublin 12

Despite the consistently appalling quality of their tv picture, I never really cared because the broadband service was fast, good value and reliable in our old apartment in Dublin 8.

However, we moved in mid March and the service is dire at the new address in Dublin 12. Constant outages. We lost tv/broadband on Saturday morning (could've been Friday night or day as well, I was out). It came back on Sunday evening.

Came back from work this evening and it seemed fine but it's gone again completely (no tv or broadband).

I'm sick of taking half days off to have out sourced technicians who have no preparatory knowledge of the problems come and scratch their heads.

Anyone else in Kimmage having these issues? This is pointless. I've been using 3 Ireland 3G and to be fair it's been rock solid. It may not be as fast as UPC but at least it's reliable.

Its an old cable system in many parts of Dublin 12 - some improvements where mde a few years ago but still eg many areas cannot get HD.

From my own exprience the Broadband works but suffers ocassional problems but nothing like what you are describing,TV is fine on digital but analogue suffers ghosting issues from 3 rock due to poor cables
