Hi guys, have a Colt Rail and i'm only getting about 30ish shots until the cartridge is out! My Taurus PT-99 even on full auto is getting around the 70ish shots! It does seem like it's loosing Co2! My friends S&W 1911 Co2 is doing the same. Both guns are only a few weeks old. Anyone have any experience with these?

The Colt Rail Concept has quite a large and heavy-weight slide, much heavier than the PT99's cut-out slide, and the 1911PD's 5" slide. This reduces Gas/Co2 efficiency due to requiring more propellant to cycle the slide each time.

30 shots or so sounds about right for a gun of its size.

EDIT: The 1911PD should get a few more than the Rail Concept, however they use the same magazine and gas system, which is not as efficient as others - have you checked the mags for leaks?

WOW, I seriously doubt it should be that heavy on Co2! It should use about 50 or so due to the mag holding 32bb's (doubt it would need new Co2 before new bb's) At least I hope not! No I'm thinking there's a problem from the seal or something!

To be perfectly honest, it's more unusual to get tonnes of shots per Co2 cannister with GBB pistols. The typical figure is between 30 & 40 shots. The heavier the slide, the more effort required, thus the more Co2 is used in cycling the slide.

To improve gas efficiency, you can oil the slide and blowback unit to reduce friction/resistance.

How fast you shoot will also dictate how many shots you get. On continuous use i.e. firing with about 1 second between shots, I tend to get about a mag and a half from mine - so closer to 40 shots.

In warmer weather you should get closer to 2 mags, whereas in the cold it's closer to 1 & 1/2. At least that's what I've found with my Co2 pistols.

The Rail Concept is certainly heavier than most of mine, due to the size & weight of the slide. M9-style slides usually have less weight behind them, which makes moving them easier.

Oh, I do hope you meant 23bb's....if your sticking 32 in, that mag is not going to last very long.

I had a KWC Desert Eagle and that normally made 60 shots per bulb. Thats pretty comparable to the Rail Concept.

It fits 32, why should you put in less that factory stated?

Really?? That's strange...maybe I need to get my eyes tested. Just checked the KJWorks website for that model, and it states 28bb's. I know that personally, I always underfill my mag by 1 or 2. Find it helps to feed better. But that's just me.
