    Hey,
I have a single share certificate for a UK-traded company (remnant of an old employer's 'Save as you earn' scheme) and I'd like to sell the shares in the least-hassle way possible.

I know Sharewatch used to offer this service but they seem to be referring people to Bloxham who wanted me to open an account with all the associated paperwork.

Is there anywhere I can just send the cert with some forms and get a cheque back? I know Sharewatch used to do this for a flat €50 per trade, which wasn't the cheapest around but wasn't too bad if it was literally a once-off trade.

    Any recommendations?
    Thanks!

If you have an account with one of the major banks you should just walk in to your branch, hand over the cert. and ask them to sell the shares for you.

Oh, they do that? I assumed I'd need to go to a stock broker or something like that?
