Hey, I'm getting my documentation ready now to send it off along with my grant form whenever they're available.

I was just wondering should I send a form that proves I have a medical card?

    So far I have:

Form from Social Welfare office stating my Father received it in 2010.
Junior Cert results to prove residency.

And from the student finances website, that's all it tells me I need..?

    Is it true?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Yeah that's what I was reading from but by the looks of that all I need are the Junior Cert results and the social welfare form, but it just doesn't seem like enough to me. :o

You will need your birth cert - anything that shows income other than social welfare; perhaps some other stuff such as bills; basically as many things as possible showing the address

having a medical card means nothing when it comes to grants.

you need evidence of residence in ireland for 3 out of the last 5 years..i.e. leaving cert and junior cert results.
    utility bill showing home address.
    birth cert.
    offer of place in college.
evidence of income. p21 or notice of assessment or social welfare statement
statement of what rent allowance you get if you get any
some people will need to send in leases etc if they are claiming independent mature status.

    Thanks. :)

Im applying as a 6th year so I don't have LC results/proof of college place.

Does it matter if my name's not on the utility bill? All the bills come to my parents..

Your classed as a dependent applicant, so your parents will need to fill out a lot of the forms etc and give their bills etc
