    Hows it going

I'm after losing my second car key on a night out and I'm just wondering how much approx will it cost to replace?

The car itself is a ford fiesta 06. I was on to my local ford garage but the person who deals with these issues is out of office at the moment so I said I'd ask around in here

I still have the main key to the car but need to replace this one as my gf is insured on the car also

    Any help would be appreciated

Does the replacement key need to heve the central lock and boot release buttons?

Replaced one on a Citroen C4 for €130 last year.

Give Brown Brothers in Dun Laoghaire a ring, they should be a lot cheaper than a ford dealer and if you have the original it should be easy enough to code and copy. I paid about €70 for transit key (ford) to be copied.

    Cheers for the replies

The garage eventually rang and told me it would 40 quid for a new key, which is reasonable enough I think

Thats just for basic key though, it doesn't have central locking buttons on it etc

Just make sure that's for everything, coding, cutting and not just the key itself. I remember before I was told something like 40 quid, then 100 for coding or something like that. The code is for the chip to start the car at the ignition.
