Starters Pistol

Looking to source a Starters Pistol. Anyone know where I can get one?

Was at a kids competition, and on the way up on the bus, they kids were all talking about the gun, and how they hoped it would NOT be used. When we got there, it was used, and 2 of our younger runners wouldn't compete due to fear of the gun. I want to get one to get them used to it in training.

    Thanks,
    Domer.

Are the kids from the hood or something? ;) How come they are afraid of the gun?

And to answer your question, no I don't know where to get a pistol. My mate macker could probably get you a shot gun or AK47 though!

You are better off getting a Toy Cap gun. Not only are the starter pistols not cheap but as far as I am aware the blanks which are used in a starter pistol come under the Firearms act which means you will have to get a letter from your local super intendant (okay to own the gun but it the blank ammo that is the issue:rolleyes:)

A proper one is about GBP150 - we've just purchased a new one here. I can find out the supplier if necessary.

It would be unusual to use a gun as a training aid - and as ecoli says there will certainly be Garda restrictions. Best maybe to take the youngsters to a meeting as spectators to get them accustomed to the noise.
