Does anyone know of any shop or website over this side of the world that sells these desks?

They're fairly heavy so shipping from the US is a bit expensive.

Maybe if you asked @deanheckler on Twitter he'd be able to help? I see his site has a posting from a happy customer in Maynooth.

Thanks for your interest in OneLessDesk. To clarify, OneLessDesk, as of today, is only available for sale directly from Heckler Design. It's true, international shipping and import tax is significant. However, our total price would be less than any local reseller (if we had them). For example, OneLessDesk to France is about $1100 USD. Compared to the international MSRP of OneLessDesk is expected to be $1299.
Over half of all OneLessDesks produced are exported from Phoenix, Arizona to happy customers all over the world. This item is shipped via FedEx international Economy service and delivered directly to your door.
Happy to answer any other questions you may have. service@hecklerdesign.com

    Best regards,
    Dean Heckler

Ireland may be slightly less. VAT applied to imports in to Europe vary from 19% to 25%. That tax is included in the $1100 USD price.

Best to request a quote at http://hecklerdesign.com/rfq/

Also, shop around for other computer desks and designer desks. Most other well-designed desks at the $750 price point are made from plastic laminated particle board. And even high-end designer desks in the $1500 - $2500 price range are not built like a OneLessDesk.

True. Think I'll stick with the two planks and the bricks, though. That retro look.

I can appreciate your minimalist approach. Best regards.

    Thanks for the replies.
Has anyone seen a similar desk that I could get in Ireland?
It's going in a sitting room. Gonna use an iMac instead of a tv but want to be able to sit at it like a desk from time to time.

Any local metal fabricator would cheaply fold something to your design, spray finish in a metallic car paint. Simples. :)
