Don't forget you're going to want spare mags and a holster. Possibly a lanyard etc... Just something to consider before you spend all your money on the pistol.

No problem, I got caught with that myself, "OMG ehhts perfect ehhts ezzacly how much I havv!!" :( <---- Me when I realised I'd no holster, or even gas.

By the way I'd go for that WE MEU, sexy beast of a thing. I've a WE m1911 CQC and it's the business. :D

That G17 you linked to above is a Tokyo Marui - just to be clear, TM pistols are some of the best you can get. I've used quite a few different pistols, including WE, and TM are leagues ahead. Sure, you might want to buy a lanyard, holster etc etc - but a TM pistol, though made of ABS instead of metal, are accurate, have good crisp blowback and will run forever without giving you grief.
As someone who has quite a few WE airsoft guns (mostly gas blow back rifles), just be prepared to have to look after it. Also, it won't be as accurate or as long ranging as the TM.
    Just something to consider.

Also - I wouldn't be put off by the fact that TM pistols are abs. The quality of the finish and weight are fantastic - I have both a TM version of the MEU 1911 and a WE version (which is full metal). The TM looks and feels much nicer than the WE - even though it's not full metal.

you seem to have quite a bit of experience with these brands and guns themselves so after reading your posts i am reconsidering my decision again :P.

seriously lads thanks a lot for all the advice, you's have really helped me in my search for the best pistol i can find, especially since its my first skirmishing piece.
so again, thank you to all :)

Well if you reckon you'll be doing a lot of skirmishing I'd be more inclined to go with a TM. WEs are beautiful and shoot well, but they're not fierce efficient. Not a problem for me, I don't go to regularly. You're dead right checking all this out first though.
