    Hey

Don't give me any of the abuse about being on the phone cos it wasn't me... I am absolutely pissed that my husband is stupid enough to be on his mobile when he is driving... but he was and he was caught, problem is, he THOUGHT his drivers licence was in the glove box of one of the cars, but we can't find it... needs to hand it to the guards in a couple of days along with the insurance (it was my car he was driving at the time).

he has vague recollections of needing the licence for something, but we just don't know what or where it has gone.

What will happen if we can't find his licence? Will he get more points?

I'm not exactly sure how this works. But if it is lost he will have to fill out a D.800 form which must be signed by a garda in the station. I presume they are only trying to make sure that your husband actually has a license, so it should be on the system already. Either way you're going to have to go down to the station. Just ask what the procedure is.

tell him to be up front with the gard..take in the Insurance and tell them he is getting a replacement license as its gone missing .
