This should really be in the questions section, but this video shows a few different batts in the APS.

    Ah crap.

Hopefully this thread won't be deleted as I really want to know what battery would be good for the airsoft rifle.

I watched the video you gave me CpcRc and it was really helpful. The second battery that went into the ASR102 is probably the one I'm going to get so I might be getting one soon on Hobby Airsofter.

    Thanks.

I've an APS asr 102 EBB.
I don't know if the RIS/ outter barrel is longer on the 103 (I assume it's just the outter barrel).
I'm running a 9.6V 1600Mah large, which just about fits. I've given thought to fitting a larger battery and I think the easiest way to create space would be to remove the fuse unit so the the battery will fit nicely in the top half of the RIS, if you can get to this stage then I reckon you might even get a 10.8V in there.

Beware however...... If you use a battery with 2000Mah or more you might just cook the trigger switch - there's a manufacturers fault on the gun at the trigger switch. They used cheap plastic for the blocks and the metal nodes to engage the circuit have a habit of melting into the plastic. As you squeeze the trigger it pushes the metal further into the hot plastic until the trigger switch no longer engages. I have already had these replaced by the retailer that sold me the gun at no cost to me, a friend of mine has also had the same job done at no cost. The replacement blocks are a bakeolite type material, far more heat resistant.

Wouldnt bother with anything over a 9.6v battery for the record folks.

The aps system, (one of the best ebb systems) and all others can't take the impact stress of higher voltages. You'll rip it to bits.

If you want a zoom zoom bb lazor, get a stubby thriller and have done.

(not related to op's post, more a general public service message) ;)

    So wait...

You can't really use anything over 2000mAH and it wouldn't be a smart idea to use a 11.1v or over. (Wouldn't even chance a 11.1v, don't like Li-po anyways).

So really, what would be the best battery to use in a A.P.S. ASR 103?
