JSA and a job offer

    Hi,

My working hours were reduced from full time (5 days a week) to part time (2-3 days/week) in February and I applied for casual jobseekers allowance at the start of march. My claim is STILL being processed and I haven't got a cent yet. I had my interview and have been religiously dropping in my X/O dockets weekly since signing on.

I have been formally offered a job with a different company (full time hrs) but the contract will only begin in july. How will this affect my dole in the mean time? Am I supposed to tell the SW office that I will be recommencing full time employment in July or just inform them when I start? (I'm just wondering as technically I am no longer "actively seeking employment").

    Helpful comments appreciated.

    Thanks.

Don't tell them until a day or 2 before you start your new job.

Inform the social of your change of circumstances when they change.(when you start your new job)
