I have a Cannon 450d, when i take a picture in Raw format its size is 2256 x 1504 Pixels but if I take a picture in Jpeg its size is 4272 x 2848. Could somebody explain the reason why Raw cant output a larger file.

sounds like your using small raw, rather than the full version

The camera only has one Raw file & Raw +Large Jpeg file option.

In the camera menu it says that Raw files are 4272 x 2848 but on computer they are only 2256 x 1504.

Do you know how i can change it to large Raw.

    ah ok

in adobe camera raw there is an option to bring the raw file in at different sizes

it looks like a hyper link, its near the bottom of the camera raw window

I just cut and paste files from Sd card to laptop harddrive. And view the raw files with Ifranview.
