Receivng Saorview Radio but not TV?

    Hi, I Have a Philips 250 gb hdd dvd recorder with an internal digital tuner which I bought a while back in prep for Saorview. However after several failed attempts, after searching for Digital Channels, the results show "18 Channels found", and then when it saves the info to the hdd, it says that no tv stations were found, just 10 radio stations (allo of which work perfectly). I tried a signal test which showed perfect reception and quality on both indoor/amplified aerials. Is there a setting or something else possibly wrong preventing me from receiving the tv stations? Any help is much appreciated.

    Your DVD recorder is MPEG-2 only and therefore not compatible with the Saorview TV channels.

    Ah damn is that it? It's a British import so obviously the DTT signal in England is MPEG2 is it? While Ireland is MPEG4....I think..?

    Yep, that's correct. MPEG-4 HD is a must.
