Hey guys, whats the story with this lock in option on betfair.. when you press it does it guarantee that amount no matter what the outcome or does it change?

Yup, what you see is what you will get. You are better off cashing out manually though if that's what you want to do, though I find it's wise to only cash out: a) in a rare case where the game really isn't going the way you expected or b) if cashing out was your initial plan in the first place.

So as an alternative to the cashout button you can use this calculator: http://www.betcalc.com/backlaycalc.php

...or you can use Betfair's own indicators which appear beside the WDW markets as you're about to place a bet.

    Lock-in isn't profit in case you're guessing.

I think they make that clear in fairness - your liability, and your profit/loss are both displayed beside the "lock-in" amount.
