Where to put the shower in a rectangular tray?

    Hi all,

this might be a silly question - we've installed a 1200 x 900 shower tray, and are buying a mira miniluxe shower (has overhead and moveable heads). Question is do we put it on the short or the long wall? pipes are currently half way along long wall but the more I think about it the more I think they should be on the short wall....

any advice much appreciated before we have the wall chased to move them!

    thanks!! :o

I usually advise it to be put on a wall that is not facing the doors for obvious reasons that there's less water on the doors less chance of leaking or escaping through in later years

Thanks Sparkpea. I should have said it's actually a quadrant tray - so the door is on the curved corner - I don't think it'll make much difference in this case from a leaks point of view.

There is no rule or practal reason to have it on a certain wall for astetics however sometimes when its on certain walls it can be easier plumbing.

If a shower door starts leaking it means it is not power shower proof.

The way they are designed now it will be just a matter of changing the magnatic seal. This option was not available a few years ago.

I'd have the shower on the short side of the rectangle. Gives you more space under the head then because its spraying over a longer area.
