Was watching Cross Counter today and they have kindly gone through the equipment that they use to create shows such as The Excellent Adventures of Gootecks and Mike Ross. From 15:50

Also, as I posted a few months ago - Day[9] did a comprehensive tutorial which includes bits about his own setup.

Any other video makers / content producers out there done something like this? Or you guys - do you have a walkthrough of your setup at home / the studio ;)

I think the cross counter episode may have an error in it- all past research has indicated to me that HDMI is more likely to lag than component due to security encoding.

Hmmmm! So that's why Gootecks continues to lose :D

On a side note, you use Hauppage right? Guessing you go the component route - and it's pretty spot on? (considering people would call you on it immediately!)

I never, ever, ever, hear complaints of lag with an asus monitor and a splitter.

I heard one or two when I fed it straight through the hauppage right at the start but they were from- er- unreliable parties :D
