    Max and Jacob were having a debate. Max was explaining about the laws of probability. But Jacob that the laws of probability don't apply to buttered bread. He argued that Sod's Law dictated that bread always lands buttered side down.

    "All right," said Max. "Let's put your theory to the test!" And Max took a slice of bread, buttered one side of it and then flipped it up in the air, and...

    it landed buttered side down.

    "Well," said Jacob, "I think that proves my point!"

    "No, it doesn't," said Max. "I made a mistake. I buttered the wrong side."
