I saw a performance of this by the Sell-a-door UK national tour yesterday, knowing nothing about it. I thought it was really good, brilliant staging, acting, choreography etc. One thing that's plagued my is the ending though. For such a dramatic piece it felt maybe rushed, and a bit weak. This may have been this particular production rather than the piece itself, just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this musical.

It's an amazing show, based on a play. I suggest you get yourself a copy of the script and read the notes as to how they put the show together, amazing reading.

The play is slightly darker...18th century German, have a go if you are really curious.

I love the show, know the soundtrack off my heart and have seen the show 3 times so far!

I love Spring Awakening! Went to the production out in the Helix last year and it was really incredible. We were lucky as the cast were perfect, not a weak link in the whole show. I don't recall anything rushed about the ending but I don't actually remember the ending terribly well!

My sister has a copy of the play lying around somewhere. I've had the best of intentions to read it since I saw the show but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I hated the book but went to see it in Vienna nonetheless - and I loved it!
Awesome play with awesome music :D

I saw it in the Helix last year. I thought it was amazing. The soundtrack is such a let down, I thought the Irish cast were miles better even though they were amatures.
I've since gotten my hands on the live Broadway recording and it's much better than the one recorded in studio.

And where might one procure such a recording? :D

Megaupload :D I can't find the link to it now since I downloaded it in October. I'm also not sure how legal it is to post said link :p

Don't post the link Aoifums. No links to illegal stuff here! :)
