Shocking - the onions are causing you pain. They are evil and must be put to the sword.

I'll tell you a clever trick.

If you put the onions in a freezer for 20 minutes before cutting them, they won't make your eyes water.

Also, keep you onions and potatoes separate. Onions actully make potatoes go off quicker.
