So how many Pukes have been sold?

I was just talking about the Nissan Puke with a friend. I've noticed a good few driving around but we were of the opinion that this was localised to where I live.

Does anyone know how many have actually sold and if it has been a success/failure?

I like them and would consider one as a future used bargain as long as it isn't the basic model which seem to of been littered around forecourts

I see what you did there.....

I've actually seen quite a few around. Seem to be quite popular.

They're not actually that bad in person, I'm not saying they're actually nice but... they're not as bad as in photos.

There's about 20 of them in my local area, all silvers and reds! I've been taking note of regs to see how many different ones there actuallly are!

I don't think they're as bad as everyone makes them out to be, I passed one of the Nissan Barks today with no plates on it, Christ it's absolutely disgusting looking.

I simply cannot fathom why people hate the X6 so much and love the Puke so much.

The X6 is a very handsome derivative of the X5 while the Puke is what it is. Disgusting.

I wouldn't say I love them or hate them.

I think they look quite 'funky' though and a bit charming. It has a bit of character I think unlike a lot of fairly clinical looking cars these days.

And I've only seen the winey/red ones around!

Funny, I've only seen black ones...

what i like about them is they actually look like a concept car

They are ugly but kinda funky looking not near as ugly as a X6 though..

Looks like a '03 Micra on a testosterone overdose

Dark grey seems to be the colour of choice where I am.

I'm really starting to like them. Different, good to drive and frugal.

Has anyone driven one over a long journey?

Fair dues to the Nissan marketing guys. They start with the poor selling Almera and Primera, two boring, boring cars, and they "replace" them with the Qashqai and Juke, two boring, boring, cars (one hideous) that look a bit like they might have four wheel drive.

And it works! They actually sell!

What's wrong with guys, the JUKE is absolutely awesome!

I'm seriously considering getting a second one.

The new Focus is HIDEOUS and looks like a fat person who has melted slightly while lying in the sun.

The new* Passat isn't new at all and feels very dated

The Toyota is at least consistent in always being boring so no change there

i really really wish these fake soft roader lookalike things would dissapear, the fact that the juke and quashqai sell are just proof that ireland has very little in the way of taste in cars. These are not cars that will be remembered forever , nobody will collect them, they are simply poorly designed a to b cars.

The Nissan Puke is just that - absolute and utter puke. I feel ill everytime I see one!

It's cheap to run, cheap to buy, looks like a 4x4, and it has an '11 badge on it.

    It's perfect in other words.

Is it comfortable and economical over a long journey

I had one on test drive and gave it a good run on country roads and found it handled well

I do, and find there is always 2 exact opposite opinions on the car, bit like marmite, no middle ground. You either love it or hate.....

It's no Ssang Yong Acton or something though? Jaysus, I'd hate to be stuck selling something like that

It's the perfect example of a car that's designed and marketed to appeal to people who know nothing about cars and just don't care.

These will be remembered, I have no doubt. There are not many cars made today that will as they all look the same. Look at history, classic cars that are doing well today are mostly quirky.

It's a girl's car. My wife fell in love with it when we dropped her Micra in for a service. So yeah, it's a Micra plus.

I don't actually think it's a bad looking car, in the same way that a Z3 looks good but it's still a girl's car.

Funny to see how these "City" "4x4"'s handle when we get a big dump of snow this winter.

I know a bit about cars and I like it. A bit of a general comment really.

Everyone likes different things for different reasons but that doesn't mean they know sweet f all about cars.

I appreciate the fact its done something different and isn't a bland box. I think it drives well with the 1.6T engine

Its vying for most awful looking yoke on the roads at the moment in my books

That new maxi-cooper is giving it a run for the money though..

CAR magazine recently road tested the Juke, the Mini Countryman and the Yeti side-by-side.

My eyes are nearly better now.

I'm someone who knows a little bit about cars I certainly would not buy that.

I'm very happy buying my €200 bangers, putting them in a roadworthy state and get a sense of satisfaction that I've saved an old car from the scrappies and that those misery wagons wont last as long as the cars I restore. Remember for every one of those heaps bought, an old car has died and can never be brought back...

And you'll always look like a stuck up ponce behind the wheel :pac:
