You left the shop? With respect, thats a pretty stupid thing to do. He should have refunded you for the labour if he was adamant if was the antenna.

You've voided the warranty any way so you can't send it to Apple, which you probably should have done in the first place.

As a remedy, maybe do a full restore and remove any jailbreak etc. See how you get on. If not, I'd say your looking at a new phone.

guys just a quick update on my iPhone this gets worse ..

after leaving the phone in two weeks ago for antenna repair i get a call today telling me my phone is dead and they are giving me back my money for repair ??

the thing is it was working perfect when i left it with them apart from the antenna ..... i went into the shop and they said its out of their hands because i signed a disclaimer...

i can understand that if they gave me back the phone in the same condition i gave to them.. but now my phone is dead as a dodo when i confronted the repair guy in the shop i asked what happened he said the he may of blew the mother board but there is nothing they can do only offer me back my repair money  can they do this  anyone got any ideas .

How old was the iPhone? Was it within warranty?

This shop obviously isn't an Apple Authorised Service Provider. And if you really signed a disclaimer then I'm not sure there's anything you can do.

not exactly sure how old it is but its not that old ..

but surely when you leave a phone into a place that claims to repair phones you don't expect them to give it back to you worse than you gave it to them ? the guy said the board is blowen ? it wasn when i gave it to him ???

Please post details of this shop, as firstly €70 to change an antenna which was probably just not connected properly is insane as they cost less than €2 and secondly there is no way you can blow the mother board fixing an antenna issue. This person deserves no business from this site.

so you have a completley different phone so?not too bad in the end but like **** i would have paid them another 40 quid.
lesson learned?i would recommend asking about ANYTHING iphone related here first anymore.theres enough people on here who can advise you better on what to do than some scammy baxtard in a phone shop.

I don't see how they killed your logic board unless they were trying to reball/reflow an IC.
