    Any suggestions?

We're looking for anywhere in the world for the last two weeks of June. I think the beaches in the Indian and Pacific oceans look amazing - Maldives; Goa; French Polynesia, etc - but we're both open to anywhere. The only condition being that it's not full of soccer hooligans/lager louts/"steak and chips" tourists who want a bit of their own country with sun. Some place with its own distinctive culture, plenty of walking and archaeological and historical sites would be much more interesting.

All serious suggestions are welcome (including pictures of places you like would be even better).

    Thanks.

Somewhere in Columbia? Cartagena perhaps, or Parque Tayrona

Choose carefully if Goa, a lot of egg, beans and chips resorts.

Sri Lanka or parts of Yucatan in Mexico would be my suggestions - great history, culture, people, beaches and food.

Maya Riviera. Plenty of ruins like at Tulum, Chichen Itza, couple of days in Xcaret.

Bhutan. Go. Book it now. And bring me with you. Ticks all the boxes. Amazing culture; barely touched by the outside world; nestled in the Himalayas so plenty of walking; the whole country is one largely undiscovered archaeological and historical site. Actually, don't go. I haven't been yet, and I don't want anyone else discovering the place until I do!

PS: Or keep your euro dollars at home and rent a caravan in Duncannon!!:D
