im going fitting a fibre glass tank with a drip tray underneath it in a poultry house.there is a one inch 350 to go on the very bottom of the tank just incase they want to clean it out.does anyone know what way to work this in relation to the 350 and the backnut?the tank will be sitting on top of the drip tray so im wondering do i drill em both and put the 350 through em both and the locknut underneath the drip tray?

I would use the locknut on the tank only , and drill the drip tray to suit the nut sitting into it, if you need to seal between the drip tray and tank i would use use a small amount of silicone or a light foam or rubber washer which will compress and seal between the tank and drip tray when the tank is full,

As outkast says.... 2 seperate drillings. That coincidently is the normal procedure for them anyway.
