    Folks,

On my Sensation, when I look at my contacts it shows an icon for the SIM and an icon for the phonebook. But the contacts are duplicated.

Is there a way to have it only display SIM contacts?

To make the most of it (Android) you should really forget about SIM contacts and use Google.com/contacts.

I second this motion. I found it a bit daunting at first and wondered how I was going to do it.

This is how I did it.

I exported all Sim/Phone contacts (whichever I was using) to the SD card. This copies all your contacts to a CSV file on your sd card which will be added to gmail later. Copied the CSV file over to the PC and then added the CSV file to my gmail contacts. This adds ALL your contacts to gmail. the next time your phone syncs with your gmail account it will download all your newly added google contacts to your phone, in a roundabout way, turn all your contacts into google contacts.
If you have even more duplicate contacts then, just do what you did above to hide the sim and phone contacts, only showing the Google contacts. From here on, you should only make Google contacts which will be backed up/synced with your gmail account automatically.

I have no idea if there is an easier way to do it.

The bonus to doing all of this? You never lose another contact if you lose your phone.

It's a great feature by Google, and if the OP ever gets into modding in the future (when HTC let ya ;) ) it'll be a lifesaver :)
