just went to my dentist today to continue an unsuccessful extraction on Wednesday. the dentist gave me three needles of the so called good stuff to numb me up he got some of the tooth out and then... the numbing wore off. i went in to shock, i could feel every bit of pain and he hit the nerve. i was carted off to st lukes by ambulance and sent home 5 hours later.

    what went wrong?
why did it wear off so fast?
    did the dentist mess up?
do i have a law suit?

he rang the Dublin dentist hospital (while i was in st lukes) and after some fighting to get me seen i have been told i can attend there and have the rest taken out, but after today i am so afraid its silly, im afraid to go,

i was told if i was to have it done under sedation i will have to pay, how much is that?? any one?? i am on a CE scheme and supporting wife and child and one baby on the way.

    pleas please help some one

i dont blame you!!! To be honest - and i am not being flippant - i would remortgage the house in order to get a general anaesthetic - let us know how you get on. Hopefully you just had one bad experience and the next time it'll be ok. Best to get it sorted in case of infection etc. best of luck!!
