hi there , i inhereted a farm of land in the north west a year ago or so , ive no interest in moving over to that part of the country and since i see land prices falling further , ive decided to move it on , was wondering what solicitors are charg ing for conveyance right now , i would expect the farm to be worth a max of 500 k , 1 % would IMO seem enough ?

I would have said that €5000 is probably excessive in the current climate. Shop around. You could probably get a solicitor to do it for half that or less. Of course, this presumes that it's a very simple straightforward transaction.
