I found an older post about Breaffy House but I can find nothing recent. I am hoping to book this venue for my wedding in 2011. The grounds are spectacular but I have not seen it set up for a wedding and have not tasted the food. Anyone with any information, please let me know. Thank you.

Not a place I'd choose, to be honest.

Hi there, any particular reasons for this? I appreciate your honesty and wondering what exactly puts you off?

Found the staff less than helpful and the public areas could be cleaner.

I'm not a fan of it either. Nice ground, but hotel rooms not nice (if your guests are staying there) and unless they have done it up recently found it all very oldfashioned and had a slightly unclean appearance to it also.

I wouldn't go for it either, sorry. I'm a member of the gym there and it's lovely, the pool also is beautiful, the grounds I agree are stunning, but inside it's really run down and badly kept. I've heard really dodge things about weddings there BUT have never been to a wedding there.

Thanks everyone. Really disappointed to hear this. I fell in love with it but haven;t seen it done up for a wedding. I know the management changed recently so I thought that might have made a difference.

Anyway, how about the McWilliam Park in Claremorris. Anyone have any recent feedback on this for a wedding?
