SVP outside of building?

    Hello,

    I'm try to hide all downpipes etc on my build. Am I right in saying the svp is added to the last man hole to vent the pressure and stop the traps getting blown? Is it possible to have a SVP from the last man hole coming up in the garden?

    Yes, provided it is at a slightly higher level than the MH.

    It is just convention to carry it up the building at the last or top MH, plus it vents the gasses to the air where it doesn't interfere with people, from the garden it will bring sewer smells at a much lower level. It is also easier to damage the svp at garden level.

    I think it boils down to a basic question. Would you prefer the job to be aesthetically pleasing or more nasally friendly? :D

    Why not combine it with a tall garden lighting pole?
