Trans Palatial Wire and Chewing After Getting Braces

Hi, just had my braces in yesterday.

I am having real trouble with 'the trans palatial wire' (I think its called that). Any bit of food I chew constantly gets stuck in between the wire and my palate, and while I dont want to be a whiner, its making me pretty miserable, it feels like it takes more energy to eat something solid than I get out of it.

How normal is this and will I get used to it? I enjoy my food and I really dont want to avoid solids for months on end.

I have had my wisdom teeth removed recently and I have been pretty determined to complete my orthodontic treatment. TBH, although its been only a day, this problem is more annoying than the aftermath of my wisdom teeth surgery.

    Hi

it is normal for food to get stuck, you just have to keep it clean. You will get used to the braces after a few days

Stick at it, it will be all worth it in long term
