    Hi,
Iv been thinking about putting a little video on my website, like a comical cartoon, maybe less than a minute long, just a clip of the 2 guys getting the phone call, calling round in the truck, doing the packing, carrying the contents into the truck and heading off down the raod ,happy with the days work.
Or something to that effect, would anyone here know of anybody in ireland who does this kind of stuff,
thanks for any help or advise,:).

cheapest place would be to get someone in the animation course in Dun Laoghaire to do it....or a post grad.

Commissioning an animated piece probably won't be cheap. It takes quite a while to animate even a few seconds of video.

Having the characters ready to go will be a big help as that means the animator doesn't have to come up with them him or herself.

As PCPhoto said, a good place to start would be art colleges in the country - Limerick, NCAD, Ballyfermot (their animation course is quite renowned as far as I'm aware) and DLIADT.

You could also post in the Animation forum on Boards, they should definitely be able to point you in the right direction and you may even get someone there who'd be interested.

Lastly, don't make the video too long - don't try and fit too many things in. People commissioning these kinds of things often have a thousand and one ideas that they want to include. This draws the video out and makes it very boring for the viewer. Look at any short animations on youtube and be honest with yourself on how patient you are to sit through them!

On the other hand, something short and snappy with a point to it can be nice to watch and adds to a site.

    Best of luck
