I was going to let this one go but i just cant. This company are operating without a waste collection permit, or waste facility permit and as such they cannot issue the certificate of destruction. They are illegal.

Furthermore, because their website address is similar to ours (ours was up first and this firm partly plagiarised it) we have been receiving a steady stream of complaints from people thinking we are them.

We have had a man in Cavan who gave two cars to this company and has since received 2 parking fines from Drogheda in the post, he has received no Certificate of Destruction and is currently fighting with Department of Transport in Shannon to get the car taken out of his name. There was also a lady in Ashbourne who had similar complaints. There are many others, some have received e-flow toll notifications in the post, and all of them are without their CoDs.

I repeat, this firm are completely illegal and don't touch them with a bargepole, we are fed up with having our good name mixed with their activities, we are a completely separate company who work hard to maintain a good image and act with due diligence and adherence with the law.

    Rant over, apologies.

Because people don't follow the proper procedures, same as the dozens of threads on this forum about people who sell a car and hand over the cert to the buyer, then rant on threads here when they start getting toll notifications, speeding and parking tickets.

It's the responsibility of the person disposing of a car to make sure that the facility they deal with is an Authorised Treatment Facility, otherwise they are no better than the people who pay men in Hiace vans to dispose of old washing machines and fridges and then ring Joe Duffy to complain because the local river or canal has become an eyesore.

interesting, so basically there is no such thing as someone paying you to get a car scrapped. surely it would be easy for the authorities to clamp down on this. i think the general public are not aware that there is illegal players in the field.
