Just going to mention the baan of Full backs who came through this year. Where did all these guys come from all of a sudden?

    Arsenal:- Gibbs
Spurs:- Rose, Walker(On Loan at Villa)
    LFC:- Flanagan, Robinson, Kelly
Everton:- Coleman (or is he a rm)

There is probably more, and i am not putting in the da Silvas up there as they haven't come through the youth set up at utd, but the flurry of full backs that arrived on this season has been quite refreshing.
It has been the case for a while that youth hasn't been given enough of a chance, but i think with the performances of the above, plus the quality of those still a year or two away from the seniors, we are in for a few years of watching promising young players break into their team's starting 11, something that was missing during the years of big spending in the EPL.

I for one will be looking forward to seeing a new burst of young talent freshening up the league.

Who else should we be keeping an eye on?

Edit: Coleman learned his trade at Sligo

Coleman has played right mid all season as far as I know, and he didn't come through Everton's youth set up, they got him from Sligo

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Weird how EPL fans think the super young players they stole from other teams came tru their youth systems.

Junior football all over the world dies a little.

Kyle Walker's first senior club was Sheffield United and Danny Rose's first was Leeds. Kieran Gibbs played for Wimbledon in his youth. And you're discounting the Da Silvas, why?

If a player plays for a club at U16 level, then I would say that they came through the ranks. That's 4 levels away from first team so should be sufficient to say that the club developed them the most IMO.

Jack Colback is another one who did well who introduced at the end of the season. Sunderland academy product.

Well rafael went straight into the first team squad when he arrived, and i don't think either have played in utd's youth set-up. looks like i was wrong on rose and walker too, but gibbs spent 3 years in arsenal's youth team.

I suppose i should have done more research :p

The thread is entitled 'promising EPL youngsters'.

What does youth systems have to do with that?
