No there no bus stop around the area. You have to go to navan to catch the 109 bus. For the return, get the 109 bus from the busara.

Cheers Pauric, is there not a stop at the Silver tankard pub?
and on the dublin side you can only get it at busaras?

can you not hop on at any other stop?

New timetable for the 109 here:

    http://www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1306236700-109.pdf

As per the bottom of the timetable:

All services (except Airport services) pick−up at Mater Hospital and St. Peter’s Church.

There are some services in the new timetable that will start at Wilton Terrace, but only one (the 1610) will serve Navan. It will pick up at Baggot Street Lower, Leeson Street, St. Stephen’s Green, Dawson Street, Nassau Street, Suffolk Street and Eden Quay.

looks like theres no pickup near parnell st or oconnel st then (other than the mater)

any ideas on navan side? i believe some stops are dropoff only?

Why not ring Bus Eireann and ask about stops between Kells and Navan?

01-8366111 is their enquiry line or if they don't know ring the Cavan Bus Station at 049 4331353 where someone ought to know!

That's correct. Busaras and then Mater Hospital on the NCR.

Here's some info that may help:

Stops between Kells and Navan are: Kilmainham (2 stops), Bloomsbury Cross, Silver Tankard, Liscarton (small industrial estate with Hytherm & Navan Ford) and Blackwater Retail Park (Woodies). Going towards Kells the stops are the same except the one on the outskirts of Navan is just on the Kells side of the level crossing. All of these stops have stop flagpoles/bus bays.

Years ago one could stop a bus literally at any gate or tree anywhere between the towns but with the increase in general traffic over the years this is no longer practical from a safety perspective.

However in addition to the stops listed above buses sometimes stop at Newgate Cross, Mitchells Cross (on left short distance before the Silver Tankard going towards Kells) and at Martry Cross.

the Fare Finder on the Bus Éireann website (under Timetables/More Info tab)shows all fare stages between the towns. Every fare stage is a stop but every stop is not necessarily a fare stage.

There is no shelters at any of the stops except for Kells Town Hall and Navan Woodies but there is a planning application in for a shelter at the southbound stop at the Silver Tankard.
