    Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has any tips on the best place to stay in Madrid on a hotel budget of around €250 to €350 for 3 nights. I am thinking of going for a weekend in mid June.

Also any tips on things to do and good bars for a bit of music - entertainment and so on.

    Regards

    Esto

Gran Via is a central area with many hotels clustered around it. Close to the Prada and pretty close to the Palacio Real and the Plaza Mayor. There are prostitutes around the Gran Via but they hopefully won't be bothering you if there are two of you.

The H10 Villa de La Reina is a fine place to put down for the night.

    Hotel Francisco.

I have used it a few times in Madrid. The newer rooms done up very well.

Plus its around the Sol area, where plenty of pubs open til 5am or later !!

Always enjoyed O'Connell Street bar when in Madrid. Good beer promos, decent hangover breakfast in the morning.
