Where abouts in the country are you, and are you looking for just a wash, or more?

It's more than a wash or valet to bring the Red paint back to original shine, but not sure whether it would be a full detail.

http://www.detailer.ie/ - Seperate is the man to speak to, to get it done properly.

If you want to save money and have a go yourself, you can get pretty good results (but no where near professional quality) with T-Cut, a bit of elbow grease, and few spare hours. T-Cut colour Magic is worth a look as well. Brought the tired paintwork on Mrs. R.O.R's Volvo back to a decent shine.

Wash, claybar, good polish and a good wax might work wonders.

I know lads who had carwashes/valeting centres and they didn't have a clue about actual detailing and paint correction. If you are going to a non detailer you'd be as well off having a go yourself.

Meguires quick clay kit and a decent ish wax and polish can be got for €60/€70.

I got a pink 17 year old Prelude back to red in a few half arsed hours

I've posted these pics before so hopefully folks won't mind me doing so again.

    Before and after......

and that was really half arsed, I didn't even clay it, just a polish and wax.

A tad off-topic I suppose but is it true that red is the worst colour in terms of sun damage , fading and generally losing its new look quicker than any other colours ?

In a way. If you keep it polished and waxed it will not fade at all/as badly as red paint that hasn't been given some TLC.

Try premier car valeting in limerick , alot of car dealers use them to bring cars back to showroom condition , just Google them :pac:
