Hi, Does anyone know when the grant renewal forms for 2011/2012 will be sent out and are they as long as the first one? Thanks in advance.

there will be an announcement when they become available.

The renewal forms are a LOT shorter than the main application form.

    Hi,

A quick question regarding the above,

I'm currently completing said form and was wondering if anyone has any ideas on the following. When I was filling in my grant application for my first year of college I had to give details of any interest earned on savings/deposit accounts as part of the requested financial details. So, I'm now completing the renewal form for my grant for 3rd year and have not earned any income since then as I was unable to secure employment. In light of this I had to withdraw some of my savings in the second year - do I have to declare this or no?

For example, lets say I have 30k in a deposit account and I withdraw 15k during the year in question to subsidize the remainder of my course. Is that considered reckonable income or am I entitled to do so as I have declared any interest earned at first year of application and will also have to provide details of interest for the grant-renewal form this summer.

    Thanks in advance folks.

    :)

spending your savings is not spending an income earned in 2010. you will declare the interest earned and it might be as easy to note that you have been spending your savings rather than waiting for them to ask.

Im fairly sure you have to reapply with the full form. The grant can cover upto 6270 fees

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
