A feeble attempt to become 'well read'...

For years I've read only non-fiction but this year I'm determined to rectify this. I plan to read some of the great classics of the 19th and 20th centuries and to expand my horizon in general when it comes to literature. Here are a list of works I've so far read in the past two months:

The Thing on the Doorstep- Lovecraft.
The Captains and the Kings- Jennifer Johnston.
The Sun Also Rises/ The Old Man and the Sea- Hemingway
The Hard Life- Flann O' Brien
    One Day- David Nicholls
The Lost City of Z- David Grann
    Nausea- Sartre
    On The Road- Jack Kerouac

I'll write some thoughts on each new book I finish. This'll help me think about what I've read, keep track of my progress and to recommend to others any works I particularly enjoyed or feel is important.
