    Do the british legion keep records of their members, say from 1900s,especially boer war veterans,w.w.1 vets. there was a british legion in Tullow ,co.Carlow.there is a photo of it somewhere if i can find it.

    The RBL still have branches in Ireland and a with a head office on south frederick street, just off nasseau street in dublin. Perhaps ask there.

    The British Legion was only formed in 1921 (1925 in Ireland) and had branches in almost every main town in ireland. Only 8 left now. Unlikely local records survive but you could try local newspaper archives. Would really love to see that photo if you could root it out and have a hi res digital copy?
