All the time you've spend on Boards...

This is my 1,000th post. I've been a member on boards for a few years but I've really began to use it a lot in the past year or so. I made a country, got help, had a laugh and been educated on a lot of topics.

Sometimes I think of all the time I spent looking at the You Laugh You Loose thread, debating about cannabis, feeding trolls to my despair and having good aul time...most of the time.

But do you ever think that if we all stopped using boards and picked up a hobby like learning languages, a trade perhaps, how different we'd be? :)

80% of my usage happens while I'm in work so I regret nothing.

I'd rather go back and save all the cash I've spent on drink in the last 9 years.

Can honestly say that some of the advice I've been given here has easily saved the amount of time I've used up laughing at cat pictures and arguing about something that will never happen on boards

Same as flipflops, most of my time here is while in work. I don't see it as a waste of time, it's entertaining, informative and a lot better than facebook. I don't listen/watch/read the news so anything of import I always find here first. Also have made a few good friends through here too, kind of the opposite to facebook where I see a few updates from people I talked to once in school and have no interest in being actual friends with.

Besides, my post count isn't that high, at least compared to Mike65 anyway.

I don't think the Phillipines signed up to the Croke Park agreement.

I certainly hope they didn't anyway!

Definitely entertaining, definitely the quickest way to get information, usually beats the news! Plus handy for all other sorts of things such as passing the day at work etc!

You only need 50 posts and then you apply to the soccer access request forum! No point at this stage as the summer is full of ****e talk and transfer speculation!

I remember when Boards used to be nothing but fields back in the day. Old man Noonan used to own a shop over where the Mustard forum is now.

    Winds of change...

Oh, despite my comment about being on here while in work I am not a public server worker. I may have a high post count but that's racked up while on the phone half listening to customers prattle on about their broken PC's, but I do actually get work done.
