Yes, all of the above can be done. I would suggest that you go to this thread:

Hi GBCullen - EyeTV was one I brought for my Apple Mac - Luck would have it it worked with Blackhole image - you can get them on line - PCWorld etc.

If you want an Irish retailer try this guy http://www.satellitetv.ie/shop/index.php?controller=product&product_id=290

I brought mine over from the UK when I moved here - brought it from http://www.goldwafers.com/cart/Vu-Duo-Twin-Tuner-DVB-S2-HD-Linux-Engima2-Satellite-Receiver-PVR-Ready.html he will ship to Ireland

Go here http://www.world-of-satellite.com/forum.php for all the information you could need regarding the VU+ images and info about DTT tuners are available as well
    Regards

Ultimo is to have modular tuners (up to 4?), so no messing around with usb dongles, you can slot in your choice of satellite, cable or terrestrial tuners.

The general UI is excellent, EPG info for Saorview via aerial, UK FTA via internet, all presented nicely in one.

Blackhole image has more DTT tuners supported, but VIX has more Sky-like EPG. Both now (apparently) can use WinTV NovaTD, which is a dual tuner model, ideal for when the second mux starts, so you can watch/record any combination of channels.

I bought mine from a Spanish site, http://www.ielektroniks.com/tv-digital.html
there are discount codes floating around to get €100 off.
