I'm looking for a stable who will bring a young, but capable rider out for a few hours. My sister has always wanted to horseride on the beach, but Google is telling me I need to bring her to the west to do that. I'm hoping someone will point me in the direction of somewhere a bit closer to home (home is Kildare).

    Thanks

    Hey there,

Ive never been out with Kilronan (Swords) but it says on their website that intermediate+ riders can now go on beach rides with them.

If you're in Kildare, it could be worth looking into Little Oak stables in Prosperous too. Obviously they're not located near the beach but I know they organise day trips to the beach sometimes in the summer months.

I don't know if you're willing to travel with your little sister, but you could have a look at places in Wexford and Wicklow which would offer beach rides? If you take a look at aire.ie you'll see a list of all the registered equestrian centres. I've never used any of them, so I can't speak from experience, but worth contacting some of them to get an idea of price, etc.

Actually, just noticed there's a specific link on the page to centres which offer beach rides.
