Was in Lidl Pottery Road yesterday and got a case of Tyskie 20 x 500ml. for €1.29 per bottle. I have never seen it so cheap. Lowest is usually € 1.79.

I'm having a hard time navigating the new Lidl website. Is this offer on at all Lidl's?

    Rubbish isn't it, the website

Sorry I can't be more helpful guys, just stumbled across it in the Pottery Road branch.
Couldn't agree more, the new Lidl site is rubbish. It's also infuriating that it goes by default to the Northern site and you have to change every time! Ther was a full pallet of the Tyskie in Pottery Road by the way.

Their e-mail system seems to be on the blink too.......
I got 6 separate e-mails from them this morning- all with just the number '32' on them- no other contents........

+1. Impossible to navigate around and find the new specials.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

This deal is in all Lidl for this week only as they are doing a taste of Poland week but also says only while stocks last. €1.29 is great price cheapest i have ever seen it.

Tyskie 500ml bottles are 8 for €10 in O'Briens at the moment, that's €1.25 per bottle. Lech Polish beer is on same offer.

Hmm so new website defaults to NI and they sent you 6 emails with '32'. Maybe they're saying RoI is part of NI now in a 32 county monarch and they reminded you 6 times, one for every original county.

We should cross link this thread to the conspiracy theory forum :D

    Agree 100%

Incredible stuff really. I used to check the website to line me up going in to get the bargains on the right day, but I can't be bothered now, even though I've tried. The "upgrade" of Lidl's website is a disaster. Everybody involved in the change should be severely reprimanded. And if the company that did the website development would be mentioned on line, they'd be out of business instantly.

How would it compare to the likes of Tiger beer which is on offer elsewhere 12 for E12?

I don't experiment much these days but try to stick to my favourites as much as possible :D,obviously good offers entice!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,216 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

    Pricewise it compares:
    Tiger approx 3Euro/L
    Tyske 2.58/L

Tried Tyske for the first time and didnt like it at all.
My fav lagerish one at the moment is ROSSINI Italian beer from Aldi 660ml 1.69 = approx 2.56/L.

Is that the Italian one or the one the thread is about? I have only seen the Tyskie at that strength in either Aldi or Lidl.

Personally I prefer the Zywiec 4 can pack @ 5.6% for 5.49. Was 7.99, while Tyskie 4 pack always hovered around 5.50 EDIT In Superquinn or SuperValue and some offies.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,216 ✭✭✭✭thesandeman

It 4.7 but somehow seems stronger. Must be the size of the bottle lol.
Its really refreshing and has a taste which I dont normally find from lager.

    Cans or bottles?

I suggest you should try Warka and Zubr as well.

Tyskie, Lech and Zywiec were my favorites when I used to live back there, but now they're all the same, Tyskie used to taste completely different. Same as Zywiec.

Those two which I mentioned, they still maintain typical Polish beer character.

Am actually living in Gdansk, just back in Ireland for 2weeks.
I have yet to try Zubr but I've been drinking plenty of Warka in the last few weeks as it was on a protmotional offer, from a bottle its top class, though it has to be ice cold IMO.

Anyhow Tyskie bottles are great value here for the 1.29.
Must try some Zubr when am back over.

Get with it,the site will go to NI no matter what you do,cookies or no cookies:rolleyes: i.e the site is crapadoladollie :)

I just loaded lidl.ie and got a page asking me did I want to go to their NI or ROI site. I picked ROI, it went there.

I closed the tab, opened a new tab, entered lidl.ie again and it went straight to the ROI site. Then I shut that tab, deleted the lidl cookies, went back in in a new tab and got the page asking me which site I wanted again.

So it doesn't "go to NI no matter what you do,cookies or no cookies". Get with it :D

Must pick up a crate. Big fan of Zubr and Warka too, hopefully some of the lidl or similar shops will realise there's a potential market for them and get the finger out...

Oh and agreed on the website, its pants. Thanks OP.

Carry-out on Barrack street, Waterford City sells Zubr for €2 (6%).

Bit expensive, but it is a quality beer.

5.6% is for Tyskie in Lidl as the first post mentioned Lidl, few trays in the boot yesterday then heard O Brien's were doing it too, slightly cheaper, took the shine off my purchase. A few bottles in now feeling a bit better.

Completely agree! Got Rossini (aldi) for the first time just to try it.. fantastic. Also got two kombachers (in tesco) and they taste horrible in comparison, just going to drink them and be done with it!
