I am 5'5" with a 29 inch in-seam. I ride a 50cm Trek 1.2 with a long stem and a Medium Boardman Team Carbon with a short stem. To be honest the Medium is a bit too big, but I am very comfortable on it and it is light so I love it. I tried a 52cm in the trek 1.2 also but I felt it was a bit too big for me. So unless your proportions are different to mine I would say you should look at Small frames, 50cm in a standard and 46cm in a sloping frame.

cheers macnab. Was out tonight on a borrowed bike from a mate and pretty sure his frame is a 52..could get away with it but think a 48/50 would be better fit obviously..doesnt look to good at moment as nobody seems to have anything for sale..could possibly avail of cycle to work but would prefer to buy 2nd hand incase i dont get out as often as id like..ill just have to keep on browsin all the different sites and hopefully ill find something.

    Hi jsharks,

I'm selling my roadbike at this link...

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056268047

I'm 5ft 6ins but with a shortened stem it feels quite comfortable.

Let me know if you're interested in trying it out for size.

    Hey Jsharks,

A young guy in work got a new Boardman roadbike, not sure of the model but he'd be about your height. He took it out twice and now want's to sell it. I think he paid about €750 or so for it and is looking for €500 I think. If you are interested PM me and I'll get a contact number for you.

    Hi Calistro,
Obviously jsharks has first call on the Boardman. It's his thread.

However, if he is not interested, I could well be. Let me know.
    Thanks, MM.
