    Hi All,

I'm working as a life coach and I've been trying to put together logos/imagery for business cards, website, facebook. At the moment I have a black background with amber text and an eclipse.

It was recommended that on a facebook business page that I also have a picture of myself. The person I have helping me with this came up up with an image for the facebook page and I'd like to get some feedback on it if you wouldn't mind. Link below!

    Really appreciate it!

    Thanks,

    Paula

    Hi Paula.
    Well done in getting started.

Is your the profile pic on your Facebook your logo?

If so, I have to say, that I don't like it. Please forgive me that although you look quite pretty, the image overall is a little creepy and seems to me to be more 'dark magic' than something positive (since a positive outcome is surely the idea upon which your business is based) and professional looking.

I strongly believe in the power of a photo for a business as personal as yours. This should definitely be on the 'Contact' and maybe 'About' or homepage of your website. If you do use a photo, it should be a professional headshot, against a plain background, with no fading or fancy effects. You could look really well in a clear, plain picture like this.

Gold colour could be good, as it signifies riches. Also purple.
Green is often seen as a positive colour. I think almost any colour other than black would be better, although stay away from orange, which can be seen as 'cheap', especially in American/American influenced countries.

I'm not sure why you chose an eclipse, but I would scrap that. Perhaps you know of another meaning, but I do know that some people associate an eclipse with negative outcomes. In dreams, for example, an exclipse is said to signify temporary failures in business or temporary troubles in family.

    Hi Paula

Think you can improve on these statements above. My advice would be not to jump from the first person to the third person in the text. But also to be more clear on what service you as a life coach offer, not why its your perfect job.

Here is what I would write :) :

The Aspirations Coach, Paula Coogan will make the difference in your life.

With an extensive background in HR, HR Development as well as Employment law, Paula has worked with people in over 100 companies in Ireland, giving them that extra perspective to help fulfill their true potential and take the right career path.
Now for the first time, Paula is making her services available to the Irish public as The Aspirations Coach - www.aspirationscoach.com

Understand it. Believe it. Do it.

Don't worrying about mentioning someone else there unless its the Dalai Lama, because it will mean a lot to you, but not to the people reading the page. And besides, you are the queen of mentoring now, with all that experience you want people mentioning you as the famous mentor.

Understand it, believe it, do it hehehehe
