    Democracy in action.

I'm curious to know how many posters would like to see a catholic forum in addition to the present selection on offer in Religion and Spirituality.

for those with limited comprehension skills, please note I am not asking how many posters do not want such a forum.

A Catholic forum sounds like a good idea. I'd be in favour of that.

It was previously suggested and rejected. Discussion was over in forum requests.

No, I am not in favour of a Catholic only forum. I think this forum is fine....We are all responsible for what we type, and the mods are themselves responsible within the charter to moderate and be fair.

I was initially against a mega thread, a while ago - in particular when Catholics or 'Roman' Catholics would be seen as just one denomination among many to argue with, within this forum and it's dynamic, it seemed odd that we are seperated so..or that one or two posters would be seen as more irksome than others....

I choose who 'irks' me, and it's hard to do..lol....so this forum is fine, there are some very fine posters on it, and it's always good to talk.

I'm not so concerned that it was considered and rejected.

The fact is, Catholics feel under attack, whether from Fundamentalists, or rabid secularist atheists.

Our beliefs are constantly mocked and scorned. We do have to put up with a lot of abuse.

It's not just one Catholic saying it - many of us faithful Catholics feel the same way.

What I would propose is a dedicated forum, or at the very least 2 faithful Catholic moderators for the existing Christian forum, who would have a strong influence on the culture of the place. At the minute, we are a tolerated minority, here under sufferance.

    Like being described as rabid?

You will have to suggest this in the appropriate forum. Here is not the place to discuss it.

I'd agree with lmaopml, we have a forum and this is it in Christianity.
