How to become a bouncer?

    Hello everyone.

My question is how to get involved with the security jobs sector and what exacly do I have to do to become a legal bouncer/doorman?
I've been reading that you have to have a PSA licence to legally apply for a bouncer job? In order to get it you have to complete a FETAC course, is that right?

Could somebody help me out and try to explain step-by-step how to become a bouncer in a club after completing Leaving Cert?

From what i have read already the strategy is: apply for a FETAC course and then after completing it apply for the PSA licence?
Is the course linked appropriate (i.e. can i apply to PSA for Door Supervisor after completing it?)

    Thanks in advance

Really not sure where this fits best, but I have a feeling you might get more responses here than in LC! :)
