Hey, I have been using 3v vouchers to buy online and I really hate them coz of their charges. They are a complete rip off. Does anyone know of any other similar type cards that can be used for temporary transactions?

    Thanks

Agree, just ditched 3v today myself and got a 02 money card.
Other cards I seen mentioned on the site are moneybookers and neteller.
Do some browsing through the threads for more info on them.

how does the o2 card work? I've heard something about this before. Do you have to apply for it first and they send you a card in the post like 3v?

    Thanks

    http://www.moneybookers.com/ads/mastercard/

Only costs a tenner a year. No charge for using it in shops or online. Topping up is free, and you can do it anytime with a Laser card if you have one.

You apply for it and you'll receive the card a week or so later. Been using it myself for a good few months now and I have no complaints.

most banks now seem to offer a visa debit card, there is some charges for using it but nowhere near 3v charges. ( I think something like 50c to 1€ per transaction )

check out your banks website and see if they have something on offer if not go with a bank that gives it standard.
