    Does anyone know if it's normal for a garage to polish all four wheels of a car if it has been put in just for body repair work? Thanks

    Any decent bodyshop will give a car a good clean when they are finished as the nature of body work means it will always be covered in dust.

    If a new alloy is needed, it wouldn't be unreasonable to clean the other ones so it looks some way right.

    Thx so it's pretty normal then. Had dent fixed, car left in over wkend. When I got home (less than 3 miles away) tyre was going down fast, side wall puncture, wheel had to be replaced (it was new last month!). I know I didn't do it but sure thems the breaks I guess. Was a bit paranoid re wheel polish, but sure if it's general practise that's fair enough. I'll just have to forget about it. Irritating though.

    my old car was in getting a door ding with ace autobody
    and infairness i left the car in quite dirty (busy week ):(
    when i collected car it had been fully cleaned and wheels
    too.. not sure if they polished them but they defo cleaned them.
    think it would be the norm to repair a car and return to customer clean,no?
    that reminds me i need the car cleaned!!!!!!!
