Could someone tell me whether I need a GP referral to get a routine appointment with a dermatologist or are there any clinics in Dublin where you can get an appointment directly/drop in without a referral?

I don't think you can be seen by a consultant in Ireland, dermatologist or otherwise, without a referral letter from your GP first. Perhaps you could ring your GP practice and ask ?
