Mod's hope you don't mind me using this forum to pass on this news as I'm just getting it the night before the funeral.
NOLAN, Liam (Ballymun and formerly of 2nd Garrison, Supply and Transport, McKee Barracks) May 22, 2011, (suddenly), loving husband of Ann, beloved Dad of Liam, Glenn and Rachel, beloved son of Liam and Violet and beloved brother of Paul, Barbara and David; very sadly missed by his heartbroken family, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 10 o'c in the Church of The Holy Spirit, Silloge Road, followed by Burial in Dardistown Cemetery, Old Swords Road. House private. Family flowers only please. Donations instead to the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland.

    May he rest in peace

Liam was a good mate, young (in his early 40's).

He was a staff driver whilst in the Garrison and served oversea's with the 69th Bn, A'Coy (in Tulin) where he was the CO's driver.

I'll try dig up a photo later.

    May he rest in peace.

    Liam got buried this morning.

He got a huge turn out from his former camrades, from those who trained with him as a recruit, to lads who served in his home unit and from oversea's.

I'll ask a moderator to close this now.
